Plant care library
Find the right light, watering and care for your plants.

Match care to actual light, drainage and water quality. Coastal air and saline irrigation are different stresses: test water before making a salt-tolerance decision. Water by soil moisture, not a fixed calendar.
Areca Palm →
- Light
- Bright filtered light to partial sun
- Water
- Keep soil evenly moist, not soggy
- Salinity tolerance
- Salt-sensitive: shelter from sea spray and avoid saline irrigation; test source water.
- Best area / placement
- Sheltered Karachi courtyard, covered terrace or bright indoor space; protect from harsh afternoon sun and wind.
- Maintenance level
- medium
Ideal for terraces and lobbies. Rotate the pot monthly for even growth.
Bougainvillea →
- Light
- Full direct sun, 6+ hours
- Water
- Deep water twice a week once established
- Salinity tolerance
- Some coastal exposure can be tolerated once established; tolerance varies by cultivar. Do not assume saline irrigation is safe.
- Best area / placement
- Sunny Karachi boundary wall, entrance or terrace with free drainage; keep thorny stems away from walking routes.
- Maintenance level
- medium
Thrives on Karachi heat. Prune after each flowering flush to keep it dense.
Monstera Deliciosa →
- Light
- Bright indirect light
- Water
- Water when the top 2 inches of soil are dry
- Salinity tolerance
- Avoid saline irrigation and direct coastal spray; use low-salt water and a freely draining potting mix.
- Best area / placement
- Bright indoor room or sheltered veranda in Karachi; no exposed roof or direct afternoon sun.
- Maintenance level
- low
Keep away from harsh afternoon sun in Karachi. Wipe leaves monthly and repot every second year.
Snake Plant →
- Light
- Low to bright indirect light
- Water
- Water sparingly, every 2-3 weeks
- Salinity tolerance
- Drought tolerance is not salt tolerance; protect from coastal spray and avoid saline irrigation.
- Best area / placement
- Indoor rooms, offices or a sheltered covered terrace in Karachi; avoid waterlogged soil.
- Maintenance level
- low
The most forgiving plant we sell. Let the soil dry fully between waterings.
